In der untersuchten Stichprobe von 1.921 Beschäftigten mit tariflichen Wahlmöglichkeiten entschieden sich 59 Prozent ausschließlich für mehr Zeit statt mehr Geld. Weitere sechs Prozent wählten eine Kombination aus beidem. Als häufigster Grund wurde mehr Zeit für Hobbys, Freunde und sich selbst genannt. Die Stichprobe ist nicht repräsentativ, bietet nach Einschätzung der Forschenden aber wichtige Einblicke in die Motive der Beschäftigten. (
