QA Engineer — Test Automation (m/f/d)
What we offer
- Greenfield QA — you help build the test strategy, not just execute it
- Direct impact on product quality in a growing team
- Remote-first, modern stack, short decision paths
- Collaboration with engineering lead and cross-functional teams
We are developing into one of the leading software-based personnel service providers for skilled workers in Europe. For over 40 years, the Trenkwalder Group has stood for continuous growth, entrepreneurial strength, and reliable partnerships in personnel services. With more than 200 locations in 16 countries, around 16,000 employees, and a turnover of 600 million euros, we are already one of the leading HR service providers in Central and Eastern Europe.
Our focus is on qualified professionals—the backbone of the European economy—and on the consistent integration of modern technologies. Our mission is to fulfill the European promise of free, cross-border work. Our success is based on long-standing customer relationships, trust, and quality, as well as on continuous development through innovative technologies.
Your Tasks
We're building an AI-powered HR tech platform with multiple microservices, a modern frontend, and complex backend integrations. Quality isn't an afterthought — we build it into the development process. You'll help us do that systematically.
- Build and maintain our E2E test suite (Playwright) across multiple services
- API and contract testing between our microservices (TypeScript, Python)
- Define and implement test strategies: unit, integration, E2E — embedded in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Quality assurance for AI-powered features: automated pipelines, structured outputs, data-driven components
- Collaborate closely with development teams so tests are created early — not as an afterthought
- Build test reporting and regression monitoring
Your Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in test automation (not primarily manual testing)
- Strong knowledge of Playwright or comparable E2E frameworks
- Experience with API testing and validation logic
- Basic understanding of TypeScript or Python — you read code, even if you don't write it daily
- Familiarity with CI/CD and GitHub Actions
- Structured, self-directed working style
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML products and testing non-deterministic outputs
- Performance testing
- Experience in a product team (not just outsourcing/agency context)
